The Picking Process removes material from Stock.
Each Picking transaction is identified by a serial number and Customer reference to assist in traceability. A Dispatch Note may be printed.
The addition of the Sales Order Processing (SOP) module would give the benefits of the Customer address details being read from a central file, material descriptions, quantities and prices being read from the Sales Order, so that Profit and Quantities Outstanding can be evaluated. Invoices can then be produced in addition to Delivery Notes.
The SOP module, by virtue of summarising Customer demands, also facilitates interfaces to Cutting Instructions, Works Orders, and Cutting optimisation.
